There are so many great speechmakers in history and some that you like more then others and it is a personal thing, that is why the words speechmakers choose are so very important. Speechmakers are thinking what words can I choose (or not choose) to impact that most people.

WORDS are important and incredible and how we pick and use them is vital.

So enjoy the few great speeches I’ve chosen for you and bask in the importance of words.

Not in any order of importance, these are just a few of the speeches that stood out to me and the incredible choice of words that dramatically changed people’s hearts, minds and souls. These words won elections and wars.

Winston Churchill

Churchill had many great speeches including: We Shall Fight On The Beach, The Finest Hour and Blood Sweat Tears. Churchill is considered one of the greatest person in history. Churchill, a strong gruff man with an over powering voice was never thought to be a great speechmaker yet, heads turned and ears listened. His speeches were carefully spoken and flowed easily. Churchill commanded his audience with his words and you knew exactly were you stood.

Chief Joseph

I picked Chief Joseph because he was a peaceful leader and there may have been somewhat of a language barrier and yet his words expressed exactly what he had to say to save his people. Chief Joseph had a desire to keep his people safe, moving them because of he wrongful and deadly choice of a few tribe’s men. Chief Joseph knew he stood along and his people were on the verge or death, his choice to surrender saved their lives.

John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy was an incredible good looking and someone who brought encouragement to the people as the 35th President of the United States. He was the youngest President elected because his words brought new hope. The accent makes listening worth it.

William Wilberforce – Abolition

Wilberforce became a Christian and a new look on the life around him and slavery was one that Wilberforce focused on. He introduced a bill after bill and speech after speech. Finally in 1807 it passed

Theodore Roosevelt (Teddy)

A progressive President of the United States even during the 1906 era, Roosevelt never looked anywhere except around himself for solutions and to clean it up. Dubbing the term the man with the Muck Rake. Roosevelt felt the press did a great job of exposing crime and he called them Muckrackers.

All about change this Roosevelt easily own the election and promised to battle depression and bring change to the United States.

Working peacefully to move Britain to “quit India”. Ghandi has been called the pioneer of peaceful disobedience. On August 8th, 1942 with passing the Quite India Resolution receiving independence from British Rule.
